Delicious food and super friendly service. Excellent attention to safety during Covid-19 as well. They allowed us to have our puppy join us on the patio too. I'm not vegan but I highly recommend the food to anyone.

Just enjoyed a terrific dinner at Root 8 and all three of us were very impressed with each of the three entrees. All were very fresh & quite delicious. Service was attentive and well informed. While none of us are strictly vegan or have food allergies, we would certainly feel comfortable eating here if we were/did. Few places will give this level of care and attention to food quality/ingredients or go out of their way to cater to folks with food sensitivities. We are already looking forward to going back!

Chilli cheese fries are to die for! Huge range, yummy smoothies, lovely staff. Couldn't fault the place for vegan food. Was a great stop on the way to Niagara.

It can be difficult to find a place where my boyfriend and I can eat together, as I'm vegan and he's gluten free. This, however, is one of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been to. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the owner and her staff are so friendly and welcoming! I take my non-vegan friends here and they all love it, too. The only thing I wish is that they were open more often!

Very clean, great vibe and healthy food

Love the decor, very charming. Food is good, but the lemon poppy seed muffin was a little dry. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Love love love this place! Excellent for anyone with food allergies of any type. The food is also fresh and tasty, and the owner is super sweet. My best friend and I had the big salad and nacho plate: both were excellent. I will be back! Taking my husband in next weekend.

Great place. I've eaten there twice now for lunch - Excellent food, great service, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere inside. I've left both times feeling pleasantly full and the price is very reasonable. The Root 8 burger with a tempeh patty is phenomenal. I had the Buddha Bowl the second visit and was just as happy with it. It's great having a well executed vegan restaurant in the area as, even though I'm a meat eater (usually just chicken or fish, almost never red meat), I enjoy switching it up sometimes and going the vegan route. I love this place and would highly recommend to anyone, vegan or otherwise. Thanks, Root 8 owners and staff, for giving us Niagarans excellent vegan food at a great price!

Fabulous restaurant. Menu showed good variety - lots of choices. Food was delicious, waitresses sweet, helpful and efficient. Prices and portions very reasonable. Really enjoyed ourselves. Will come back again.

This was by far the best Vegan restaurant I have been too! There is food that is cooked and there is food that's made with love. This was definitely made with a lot of love. Us family of 5 enjoyed every meal we ordered. Check out nachos and burger root 8! Never tasted anything like this. Pho is delicious too.

Being vegan in beamsville and having options for something quick and fresh hasn't been very easy all the time but thanks to root 8 it's been much easier. My wife and I ordered take out, i got the beyond big mac and its was unbelievably massive and delicious and my wife got the root 8. Also huge and delicious! The fries were fresh cut (I think) and incredibly good! Price was a bit high but the quality made up for it entirely! All in all 5 out of 5 from us!

Amazing food! A little pricey but super worth it! I would spend my money here all day. The desserts are unreal and the fact that everything is organic and gluten free is worth every cent! It's a must try!

It's expensive but I had the beyond meat big Mac combo and it was delicious and a very big amount. The fries were damn good as well. I'd recommend it if you can afford it.

Went with a very large group, occupied the entire restaurant, therefore, the wait was very long. Over all , quality and totally vegan dishes. Very friendly staff, I recommend.

I’ve ordered a panini from Root 8 that had this amazing dill pesto a couple weeks ago, so I decided to grab another one today because I loved it so much and instead of informing me there order for dill didn’t come in, they made the panini without the dill pesto. Really disappointed with the lack of communication, as I would have ordered another menu item instead of eating this panini with no flavour due to missing the pesto. Super disappointed. :(

Food was delishes, prices were good and the staff were very pleasant.

Always nice to have vegan options becoming more common. Love the food but was a little disappointed at how over priced the piece of “crack pie” was. Almost 8$ for a slice that was roughly 10cm long from crust to tip. Not that it wasn’t delicious but just a little disappointing. Try the Mac and cheese, it’s yummy.

My wife and I love this restaurant. The food is absolutely incredible. Today we visited for their 1st birthday/ St Patrick’s Day Celebration. I will admit we visited for lunch and dinner. Their “Irish Nachos” were delicious and I would recommend trying them if the rumours are true and they may stick around for a while. They also prepared jalapeño peppers, Cali wings, mozzarella sticks, margarita pizza that was to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any vegan or non-vegan who enjoys a quality well prepared meal.

It's so hard to find amazing vegan food in the Niagara region. After wandering for snacks my mother and I stumbled across this lovely restaurant. It's beautifully decorated and tastefully presented. The service was so friendly and helpful, and the food was AMAZING. We had the nachos, the butternut squash soup, and a panini. We left with full tummies and smiles on our faces. This is the best vegan friendly restaurant in the area, hands down.

What can I say other then I love this place. The food is amazing. Really great quality and best part the fruits and veggies come from local farmers which helps to support the community. The owner Johna literally puts her heart and soul in everything you eat and is open to any opinion, suggestion and happy to please those who have a specific taste. Would recommend this to anyone in the area, those going through and especially those looking for a great organic, vegan, gluten free meal that will have your heart and soul feeling great the the second you walk in the door, to the moment you leave.

I’ve been here 3 times now and it gets better and better. Johna the owner is remarkable. She whole heartedly cares that everyone just an amazing meal and experience. From the ingredients she puts together to optimize health, to how she plates every dish as an art peice to all the staff being so kind. She takes custom orders and listens to the customer... love love love this place. Totally worth the 1.5hr drive ❤️

Don't mistake this place for your average "only vegan restaurant in the area" small-town spot. The owner, Johna, and her team provide great food with incredible service. Highly recommend the nachos, which look totally ordinary at first tbh, but are some of the best I've had. The homemade sour cream and guac are top. The kids menu also has great Mac n cheese fyi. Above all, her desserts are fantastic. Try her cheesecake. Incredible. We shared slices of both the turtle and the mango and I'm still thinking about them

Stopped by here on my way through town and absolutely loved it. The staff was super friendly and the food (had the big mac and a caesar salad) was delicious!

I have had nothing but excellent food from this restaurant since they opened 2 years ago! The food is always very fresh, nicely displayed and packed full of flavour. On top of the regular menu, I also recommend the weekend brunch. We have been multiple times and it’s a real treat! Looking forward to many more meals ahead.

Root 8 is one of the better places I've eaten. Great food, wonderful staff and the creative ability to modify things to suit food restrictions. So excited to return as there's plenty for me to try on the menu! We're over an hour away but we'll be back! Thank you!

The Big Macs and Cali Wings are SO good. My husband and I had them yesterday and can’t stop talking about them.

Had the Pho bowl and to say that I dream about it is not an understatement. It was so delicious and fresh. YUM, YUM, YUM!!!

Great little spot for casual vegan and gluten free cuisine. As so done with dairy and gluten allergies I am always excited when I find places where I can eat anything off of the menu without fear. We didn't have to wait to get a table. Despite this the service was quite slow and they ran out of or didn't have several menu items or ingredients. My friend got the nachos and I got the raw bowl. They were both very good. I would go back again.

Great food and service and close to all the wineries

I had the pho bowl and a smoothie. Took a little while to come out and when I did I understood why. The presentation and freshness, not to mention the taste of the meal was outstanding. Not the cheapest place to eat but coming from a guy that doesn't like to waste money I can tell you, you are getting what you pay for at this place.
